Thrilled to have worked on the color grade for Place of Inaccessibility, a beautiful dance/art film by Hilde van Amelsvoort. The film explores a remote, untouched point in the Swedish mountains, blending the serenity of nature with the expressive movements of dance.
Hilde’s vision was incredibly clear and detailed, and my role was to support it fully, providing the technical expertise to bring her ideas to life while keeping my own stylistic influence to a minimum. Grading this film was all about preserving the authenticity of the untouched landscapes and ensuring the dancer’s movements and surroundings felt as natural and harmonious as possible.
There’s a moment where the dancer walks up to the camera after reaching her goal—it’s simple yet incredibly moving, and one of my favorite shots. This project allowed for a slower, more detailed collaboration, something rare in most productions. It was inspiring to work so closely with Hilde, an artist deeply in tune with her vision.”
